Smart meters for large organisations

Choose from SMETS2 or AMR meters – for organisations with 10 sites or more

Make the smart choice

Larger businesses like yours can choose from two types of smart meter, depending on their needs. Each type will help you better understand how your business uses energy. And each one can be installed at no additional cost. You can choose from:

AMR smart meters

When you upgrade to a new AMR smart meter, you can gain a better understanding of your energy consumption. That knowledge can help you reduce the amount of energy you use. And that can help to lower your costs and reduce your carbon footprint.

Your AMR smart meter sends your meter readings remotely. So you’ll benefit from accurate bills based on your actual readings, rather than an estimate.

SMETS2 smart meters

SMETS2 smart meters give you all the same benefits of AMR meters. These include remote meter readings, accurate billing without the need for estimates, plus access to your energy data.

What’s more, when you link a Consumer Access Device (CAD) to your SMETS2 meter, you can view your energy consumption in near real-time.

Understand your smart meter data the easy way

Whichever meter you choose, if you want to get the most from it, you need to use its data. That’s why we developed Clarity, our free online energy management platform. Clarity makes it easy to understand how and when your business uses energy. And helps you identify where you can use less energy, lower your bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
